Job Description

Task Force Talent is seeking Senior Data Engineer to support a number of specialized government contracts for a fast growing, very well-funded company applying AI/ML and big data analysis to supply chain security and other areas.

The role is hybrid in the Washington, D.C. area, and the target salary range for this role is 150K to 300K.

The team for these specific projects is very agile comprised of self-starters who bring their own ideas to positively impact national security. Every day is different, and the team describes themselves as "super mission driven.

Position details:

• Manage successful customer software deployments and technical work streams from end-to-end, with the ability to effectively manage priorities, deliver on-time, and communicate effectively internally and with customers, focusing on U.S. Federal Departments and Agencies.
• Oversee platform deployments, inclusive of integrating customer data and adjusting system architectures for customer environments.
• Work with customer to define technical integration and platform customization requirements and work across the technology team to develop and deploy these solutions.
• Become a power-user of the Atlas platform, data, and API products, support customers in rapidly achieving value from the solution, and identify new use cases to address customer pain points.
• Communicate directly with customer analysts and senior decision makers to ensure they have a great experience with Altana’s technology.
• Personally develop and maintain data processing, ML pipelines, and/or cloud infrastructure consistent with core engineering specification.
• Build prototypes and customizations that help get customers to value and expand product functionality.
• Mentor and manage more junior engineers and data scientists.

Qualification s

• U.S. citizen.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Must have clearance eligibility (TS/SCI preferred).
• Experience engineering including ETL, data mining, and deployments both internally and externally with the ability to own the whole process (requiring customer facing skill sets).
• Exposure to trade compliance, supply chain management, shipping and logistics, or a field similarly related to international commerce.
  
• Experience developing and maintaining APIs.
• Experience with ML tools: Scikit-learn, Numpy, Pandas, Dedupe.
• Working knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
