Job Function:

As a Robotics Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for educating our external customers and internal employees on robotic systems including operation, programming, and maintenance/troubleshooting. You will create engaging and hands-on learning experiences to ensure a thorough understanding of our robotic technology for our customers.

Reports to:

Robotics Training Manager North America

Responsibilities and Objectives:

  • Facilitate training to our customers and partners in Duncan, SC, covering technical topics such as software, hardware, electrical and mechanical.
  • Teach customers how to service robotic equipment mechanically and electrically.
  • Teach customers how to interface and program robotic equipment.
  • Prepare and pack training equipment for shipment to customer locations.
  • Travel onsite to customer locations and other Stubli facilities to perform training services as needed.
  • Manage assigned training sessions in the Learning Management Software.
  • Maintain training rooms, robot equipment and peripheral devices.
  • Modify standard training manuals and class materials to ensure content remains current and relevant.
  • Occasionally adapt and customize training materials to suit customer needs.
  • Assist in expanding and maintaining internal Stubli personnel knowledge base.
  • Maintain safety standards.
  • Required:
    • Bachelors degree in Education, Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Associates degree with relevant experience also considered.
    • 2+ years automation and/or robotics experience.
    • Strong programming background such as Python, C++, PLC, robot programming.
    • Valid drivers license with good driving record. Valid passport/capability to obtain one.
    • Ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office applications at a high level.
  • Preferred but not required:
    • Experience as a technical trainer.
    • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
    • Robot simulation, CAD design, and 3D printing experience.
    • Bilingual: Spanish, French, German.

Physical Requirements:

  • Periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Periods standing, walking, and verbally communicating.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
  • Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate equipment

Work schedule:

  • Work will be onsite at our STC facility in Duncan, SC with the ability to travel as required both domestically and internationally (up to 50%)
  • Expectation to follow guidelines set forth in the Employee Handbook.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 USD
