Job Description

A packaging manufacturing company in the Toledo, Ohio area is seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer with a background in the cosmetics or personal care industry. This full-time, in-office role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative packaging design while supporting brand growth, customer experience, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead packaging design and development for protective containers and components
• Analyze product specifications and drawings to determine optimal materials, handling, and safety requirements
• Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to assess cost-effectiveness and feasibility of designs
• Prepare and present packaging concepts, specifications, and samples for internal approval
• Provide direction on efficient packing methods, materials, sealing, and fastening solutions
• Create detailed packaging designs using CAD tools
• Utilize SolidWorks to develop precise technical packaging specifications

Qualifications:

• Experience in cosmetics, personal care, or related component/dispensing packaging is required
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Strong background in mechanical engineering and structural packaging design
• Excellent analytical, technical, and collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred

• Full-time, in-office only

Salary:
