As the Manager of Data Platforms, you will lead the management of data infrastructure that powers reporting, analytics, and customer self-service solutions. Ensure engineering excellence with a scalable API platform that supports Spectrum's mission of delivering superior connectivity. Collaborate across the organization to implement development standards and data strategies aligned with our corporate goals. Provide direction to teams dedicated to creating an information advantage, focusing on scalability, rapid delivery, and enhancing the customer experience.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage the underlying data platform and services to enable reporting, analytics, and superior customer self-service experiences
  • Support engineering and operational excellence by ensuring a highly available API platform at web scale
  • Collaborate across the organization to implement development standards and data solutions that align with corporate strategy
  • Drive superior customer experience through strategic data management and solution implementation
  • Provide direction to teams focused on creating an information advantage with emphasis on scalability, rapid time to market, efficient delivery, and operations

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5+ years of Telecommunications, Product and/or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of Software engineering team management
  • 2+ years of Distributed computing software development
  • Experience developing distributed software operating in JVM and on Linux
  • Experience leading people and projects to a successful, high impact outcome

Education:

  • BA or BS College Degree or related work experience

Skills:

  • Demonstrated understanding of reactive platforms like Akka, Node.JS, Play, etc.
  • Exposure to GraphQL based APIs
  • Demonstrated understanding of public cloud infrastructure services capabilities such as AWS
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern microservices architectures employed at web scale
  • Demonstrated effective communications skills including presentation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of DevOps principles and practices
  • Ability to operate customer facing production services at web scale, 24/7/365
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues, both logical and interpersonal

Schedule:

  • Full Time
  • This position is eligible for our Hybrid Work Policy. Eligible employees can work from home up to one day each week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some knowledge of telecommunication/cable services or industry experience
  • 2+ years of Management or leadership experience

The base pay for this position generally is between $98,900.00 and $175,300.00 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
