Summary: Summer Intern - Human Resources Compliance & Office Operations Are you a detail-oriented, hands-on student who's not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved in every aspect of how a professional office runs? We're looking for a Summer Intern to join our HR Compliance and Operations team in Plano - someone who's ready to contribute, learn, and grow by supporting everything from federal compliance work to daily office coordination. This in-person internship is a great fit for a student who wants to build foundational skills in HR, compliance, and office management - and who's eager to take on all kinds of responsibilities, from organizing legal documents and onboarding support to tidying the kitchen and greeting guests at the front desk. What You'll Do Support HR Compliance Create and maintain Public Access Files (PAFs) for immigration in accordance with federal regulations Conduct I-9 audits and help resolve documentation issues Assist with onboarding tasks and compliance documentation Office Coordination & Front Desk Support Sit at the front desk to welcome guests and manage daily office logistics Keep shared spaces (like meeting rooms and kitchen areas) tidy and stocked Help with lunch orders, meeting setups, and light cleaning to ensure a smooth daily flow Administrative & Special Projects Maintain and organize physical and digital files Participate in administrative projects alongside HR and Compliance team members Shadow experienced HR and Operations professionals for exposure to broader business functions What We're Looking For A proactive attitude and a willingness to jump in - from complex projects to everyday office needs Strong attention to detail and organizational skills A friendly and professional demeanor at the front desk Discretion when handling confidential information Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; PowerPoint familiarity is a plus A desire to learn and grow in HR, operations, and office management Availability to work in-person at our Plano, TX office throughout the summer Why This Internship Matters This isn't just a summer job - it's a chance to start building a long-term path in HR, compliance, or office operations.
